OVO is a paper recycling receptacle that collects segregates, stores and also recycles all the paper into a byproduct on spot.
The byproduct then collected has various different applications. The idea is to increase the life cycle and add value to paper which previously was next to nil once entered into the waste management chain.
The designed receptacle has a simple but intuitive design, with two collection openings, which caters to different paper surface trash. The receptacle encourages people to dispose their paper waste off by giving them rewards. An app can be downloaded to locate a receptacle closest to their location and in return after disposing their paper trash, they get rewards. It has a digital display that projects real time temperature and various paper recycling facts. It also comes with an indicator that notifies users if the receptacle is full.
Ideation Process
The receptacles can be placed in corporate offices, schools, embassies, printing shops, fast food chains and later on in public spaces.
